Congratulations, you’re preparing for college! You’re about to embark on a time-honored tradition, and before you get to enjoy all that college has to offer, you need to put in a little bit of work. Don’t stop now! With our helpful tips outlined below, you’ll find that the prep work isn’t very difficult at all! So just follow these steps for a stress-free application and enrollment process into the Professional Golfers Career College.
1. Apply
In order to gain admittance to the school, you’ll want to complete your Application for Admission and submit it along with the following:
1) Non-refundable application fee of $45.00, or $75.00 if you’re not a U.S. Citizen.
2) Three (3) letters of recommendation from individuals not living in the same household with you.
3) A letter from a golf professional indicating the state of your game, for example: “James Smith plays to a 3 handicap” or “James Smith normally shoots between a 75-80”. In lieu of a letter, you can send your index/handicap card from a national, state or local authorized golf association.
*Please note that your playing ability does NOT determine your acceptance to the college.
All applications and accompanying materials must be submitted to our main campus located at:
Professional Golfers Career College
26109 Ynez Road
Temecula, CA 92591
2. Official Transcripts
Before we can fully process your application we need to ensure that you’ve satisfied the minimum educational requirements to attend. We require OFFICIAL transcripts from high school, or your GED equivalency; and if you plan to transfer college credit, we’ll need your official college transcripts. Official student transcripts are one of our primary enrollment requirements, and they must display your graduation date and bear the official seal and/or signature of your school’s registrar.
To obtain transcripts, contact the high school or college you graduated from and have your transcripts sent to:
Professional Golfers Career College
26109 Ynez Road
Temecula, CA 92591
3. Financial Aid
Funding your education is a critical step in preparing for college. If you plan on using financial aid and have not yet done so, please visit www.fafsa.ed.gov and fill out a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) using our school code: 033673. Within 4 days of completing your FAFSA, we will receive your information and can proceed to the next step of informing you about your funding options.
If you have questions or need assistance concerning financial aid, contact one of our Financial Aid Advisers at (800) 877-4380 or financialaid@golfcollege.edu.
4. Student Contract
After you’ve sent in all required documents, your application will be verified and your file will then be submitted to the acceptance committee. Once the committee has reviewed your file and formally accepts you as a student, we inform you of the good news with an acceptance letter! Along with your acceptance letter you will find two copies of the Student Agreement form, which require immediate attention. Keep one for your records and return the other, completed and signed, to us.
When sending back the completed and signed contract, you will also need to enclose a $500.00 tuition deposit. Tuition deposits are refundable, and are used to reserve your spot as an upcoming freshman. Deposits must be received 1 month prior to the start date of the semester.
Contract and deposit must be sent to:
Professional Golfers Career College
26109 Ynez Road
Temecula, CA 92591
5. Housing
Almost everybody relocates for college, and it’s a good idea to start preparing early when you know you’ll be making a move. PGCC does not provide student housing, but we have relationships with several establishments and can confidently refer you to any of the following comfortable, clean and reputable apartment complexes near your campus.
These complexes can provide fully furnished apartments, attractive leasing options and, if needed, roommate options for PGCC students. If you are considering any of these housing options, please contact them directly and mention that you will be a PGCC student.
